The **Users and Residents** feature provides a centralized list of every user, owner, and resident registered under your account. From this page you can browse, search, and filter the people associated with your buildings, open individual unit or user profiles, manage access, and generate reports.
---
## Feature Overview
The Users and Residents page is the main directory for everyone connected to your property account. It allows administrators to:
- View all registered users, owners, and residents in one place.
- Filter the list by building (when multiple buildings exist on the account).
- Search by unit number or by name.
- Open a **Unit Profile** or a **User Profile** to manage details.
- Create new users, invite users via email, and generate user reports.

## Key Concepts
| Term | Definition |
| ------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **User** | Any person registered under your account (owner, resident, tenant, administrator, etc.). |
| **Resident, Owner** | A user who lives in a unit within one of your buildings. |
| **Unit Profile** | A profile page tied to a specific unit, showing the unit's details and associated users. |
| **User Profile** | A profile page tied to a specific person, showing their personal details, vehicles, storage, pets, settings, and access. |
| **User Group** | A custom group that defines the user's role and permissions (for example, **Administrator**, **Owner**, **Tenant**). A user can belong to one or more groups. |
| **Building / Unit Assignment** | The building(s) and unit(s) a user is registered under. A single user can be linked to multiple units and multiple buildings. |

- At least one **Building** set up on the account.
- At least one **Unit** created within that building (required when assigning users to units).
