Updating a request means adding new information, comments, or attachments to an existing request — typically after it has been submitted and is being reviewed or worked on.

## When to Update vs. Edit
- **Update** — Add a follow-up comment, additional context, or new attachments without changing the original submission.
- **Edit** — Correct or change the original subject, description, or category. See [[Edit a Request]]
## Steps
1. Go to the **Requests** page.
2. Open the request you want to update.
3. Add your new information:
- Post a comment or reply with the additional details.
- Attach any new supporting files using **Choose File** or by dragging and dropping.
4. Submit the update.
## Tips
- Use updates to keep a clear, chronological history of the request.
- Attach photos showing progress or new developments when relevant.
