If you need a form from your condo community — such as an alteration request form, move-in/move-out form, or parking application — your property management team may have made it available in one of two places: the **Documents** section or the **Forms** section. For a form in the **Documents** section you can submit it back to the board or management through the **Requests** feature. This article walks you through exactly where to look and what to do if the form isn't there yet. > [!important] **Forms not available on all accounts** > The **Forms** section is not available on all CondoGenie accounts. If you don't see a Forms section in your portal, your condo may store forms — including alteration request forms and other templates — under **Documents** instead. Start there first. --- ## Where Forms Are Stored ### Option 1: Documents The most common place to find downloadable forms (PDFs, Word documents, etc.) is the **Documents** section of your portal. Your property management team uploads these files here and organizes them into categories. **To find a form in Documents:** 1. Log in to your CondoGenie portal. 2. Click **Documents** in the navigation menu. 3. Use the search bar to find your form by typing in the name or browse the available categories — look for categories named things like **Forms**, **Applications**, **Renovation & Alteration**, or **Resident Resources**. Category names vary by community. 4. Click on a category to expand it and see the files inside. 5. Click the form name to open or download it. > [!tip] Can't find the right category? Try scrolling through all available categories — management may have organized forms under a general category name like "General Documents" or "Administration." **Once you've downloaded the form:** - Fill it out completely. - Submit it back to management using the **Requests** feature (see below). --- ### Option 2: Forms (Digital Submissions) If your CondoGenie account has the [[Forms Overview|Forms]] feature, your board or property management team may have created a digital version of the form directly inside CondoGenie. In this case, you don't need to download anything — you fill it out and submit it entirely online. **To check if a digital form exists:** 1. Log in to CondoGenie. 2. Look for a **Forms** section in the navigation menu. 3. If you see it, check for the form you need (e.g., "Alteration Request"). 4. Click on the form to open it, fill in all required fields, and click **Submit**. > [!info] **No Forms section in your menu?** The Forms feature is not available on all CondoGenie accounts. If you don't see it, your community stores forms — including alteration request forms, move-in/move-out forms, and other templates — in the **Documents** section instead. Go to **Option 1** above and look there. --- ## How to Submit a Completed Document Form Once you've filled out your form (downloaded from Documents), use **Requests** to send it to your board or management team. **Steps to submit a form via Requests:** 1. Click **Requests** in the navigation menu. 2. Click **Add New Request**. 3. Select the appropriate **Category** — for example, "Renovation," "Alteration Request," or "Administrative." Choose the category that best matches your request. 4. Enter a clear **Subject** — for example: *Alteration Request — Unit 204 — Kitchen Renovation*. 5. In the **Description**, briefly explain what you're requesting and reference the attached form. 6. Attach your completed form: - Click **Choose File** and select the file from your computer, **or** - Drag and drop the file into the upload area. 7. Click **Send Your Request** to submit. Your board or management team will receive your submission and follow up with you directly. --- ## What If the Form Isn't Available? If you've checked both Documents and Forms and the form you need isn't there, it hasn't been uploaded yet — or it may not be available digitally. **What to do:** - Use **Requests** to contact your board or property management team directly. Let them know which form you need, and they can either upload it to the portal or send it to you another way. - Include your unit number and the specific form name in your request so they can respond quickly. See: [[Create a Request]] --- ## Common Forms and Where They Usually Live | Form Type | Where to Look | |---|---| | Alteration / Renovation Request | Documents → "Forms" or "Renovation" category | | Move-In / Move-Out Form | Documents → "Move In/Out" or "Resident Resources" | | Parking Application | Documents → "Parking" or "Applications" | | Pet Registration | Documents → "Pets" or "Resident Forms" | | Insurance Certificate Submission | Forms (digital) or Documents | | Key / FOB Request | Requests → select "Administrative" category | > [!info] The categories and form names listed above are examples. Your community's portal may use different names. When in doubt, browse all Document categories or submit a Request asking management for the specific form you need. --- ## Still Can't Find What You're Looking For? Contact your board or property management team through the **Requests** section — they can point you to the right form or provide it directly.
