This guide explains how to delete a document and how to restore deleted documents from the archive. For an overview of the feature, see [Documents Overview](./Documents%20Overview.md).
## Prerequisites
- You must be part of a [[User Groups Overview|User Group]] that has access to manage documents in your condominium.
## Steps to Delete a Document
1. Navigate to the **Documents** page.
2. Locate the document you want to remove.
3. Click the **settings![[gear.png|24]] icon** next to the document.
4. Select the **Delete** option.
5. Confirm the deletion if prompted.
The document is removed from the Documents page and archived.
## Restoring a Deleted Document
Deleted documents are **not permanently removed**. They are archived and can be restored at any time.
### Steps to Restore
1. Go to **Administration**.
2. Open the **Log** section (`Administration > Log`).
3. Locate the deleted document entry in the log.
4. Click the settings ![[gear.png|22]] icon next to the name
5. Click Restore
Once restored, the document will reappear on the Documents page with its original categories and User Group access settings.
## Important Notes
- Deletion does **not** permanently destroy the file — all deletions are recoverable from `Administration > Log`.
- Restoring a document returns it to the Documents page with its previous configuration intact.
- Only users with access to the Administration section and Log can restore deleted documents.
